For us as a team, building trust – especially in cases of conflicting interests – is the key to successful consulting. This implies clear communication and an open dialogue with all parties involved on equal terms, including leaders, HR managers, works councils, trade unions, and individual employees.
Individual or collective labour law provides the framework or "playing field" for consensual solutions. Through this, we offer absolute transparency to all parties involved, including an assessment of opportunities and risks. However, it is still a widespread misconception that the law alone in labour law already holds the solution for all internal company issues by itself.
Our main focus is on labour law, regardless of the specific area of law. Here, we offer solutions abased on years of practical experience in business, going far beyond purely legal expertise. Our legal and mediatory support ensures you receive practical advice at the highest level.
We advocate exclusively for the interests of employees and works councils. Nevertheless, we work together with the employer or supervisors to find consensual or internal solutions (instead of handing over decision-making authority to third parties such as courts or arbitration boards). This ensures that all parties involved in labour law retain full control over the internal solution.
After studying law at LMU Munich with a focus on labour and social law, I took a different path from the "traditional" career route. I have spent over 30 years in leadership roles in human resources within companies. My motivation is to push personnel-related issues forward in consensus with all parties involved, for the benefit of employees, without lengthy or costly legal disputes.
In addition to my role as a father of two children, I am a fencing coach for children and teenagers at TSV 1860 München e.V., helping them rediscover the joy of sports after the COVID-19 pandemic. In my spare time, I enjoy working on old items that others have given up on, such as vintage bicycles and motorcycles like BSA and Triumph, bringing them back to life.
After completing my high school and law studies in Augsburg, Munich, Nice (Maîtrise en droit international), and Bonn, I began my initial work in labour law at a prestigious law firm and at Deutsche Telekom in Bonn. In the following years, I moved to SAP in Walldorf, where I served for several years as an advisor to the chairman of the Group Works Council. During this time, I played a key role in establishing a European Works Council, converting a public limited company into a European company (SE), and addressing collective legal matters on behalf of the works council. In 2016, I became a certified economic mediator and have been active in this field ever since.
I enjoy cycling with our Hovawart, Ludwig, in the surrounding nature and spend my free time primarily with my four loved ones. Hiking and climbing in the Dolomites bring me great joy, as does alpine skiing in the winter. During the summer months, you'll often find me cruising through the landscape on a classic motorcycle or a vehicle with a "H-Kennzeichen" (historic vehicle registration).
